Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Orlando Azevedo got the match started through his kick off. Ionuț Deleanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin de Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionuț Deleanu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 4th match minute, Dezessete AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Alves to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Ionuț Deleanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin de Souza. Dezessete AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ionuț Deleanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 12 played minutes Sport Club Recife got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Lima. Pedro Toscano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Benjamin de Souza 15 minutes into the match. If Ionuț Deleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 21 in the game by Ionuț Deleanu from a close distance when the talented Benjamin de Souza managed to make a qualified save. Dezessete AD's players were relieved. Ionuț Deleanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin de Souza having to make a save. Carlinhos Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 minutes of play, Sport Club Recife's Ionuț Deleanu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin de Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 31 played minutes Sport Club Recife got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Hultstrand. 33 minutes into the match, Dezessete AD's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Toscano came free, but Benjamin de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ionuț Deleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionuț Deleanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin de Souza having to make a save. Horácio Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 40 minutes, Rasmus Hultstrand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club Recife's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rasmus Hultstrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin de Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Toscano's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ionuț Deleanu to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Dezessete AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionuț Deleanu in the 64th minute of play. Pedro Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin de Souza having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Ionuț Deleanu notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Dezessete AD's Benjamin de Souza. Benjamin de Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st minute Orlando Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match Dezessete AD got a corner. Sport Club Recife's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Evandro Vides ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rasmus Hultstrand charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rasmus Hultstrand the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rasmus Hultstrand kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Benjamin de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionuț Deleanu in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dezessete AD's Zé Pedro Valladares got a free kick in the 78th minute. Rasmus Hultstrand, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ionuț Deleanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin de Souza having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Rasmus Hultstrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionuț Deleanu in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ionuț Deleanu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Tomo Coca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 97 minutes, Ionuț Deleanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club Recife's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionuț Deleanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionuț Deleanu in the 98th minute of play. Sport Club Recife's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
