With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benê Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filipe Alagoanos short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Benê Paraíba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Romário Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Donatello de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filipe Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Benê Paraíba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapuias. Donatello de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edinho Maranhense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benê Paraíba having to make a save. Filipe Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê Paraíba having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filipe Alagoano to strike the kick off in the second half. Chicão Pena didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1.
