Spectators: 7084 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) 5 minutes into the match, Write Fox's Rafael Porto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerson Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 12 minutes, Rafael Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Write Fox's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael Porto struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Gerson Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Write Fox. In the 25th match minute, Atlético Vila Luiza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th play minute Rafael Porto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gerson Braga. 1-1. Paulo José Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gerson Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Write Fox's Egídio Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Terra in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Atlético Vila Luiza defense, Rafael Porto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerson Braga. The Atlético Vila Luiza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerson Braga should have stopped the shot. Lei Shu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Gerson Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Porto in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tales França made the kick off in the second half. Gerson Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lei Shu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Lei Shu might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerson Braga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lei Shu ran back to his position shaking his head. Gerson Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rafael Porto came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Write Fox fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Porto couldn't finish the play. Rafael Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Write Fox's Oswaldo Passos was substituted for Váldson Rezende. Aloísio Quintal struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Gerson Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Write Fox. 88 minutes into the game, Aloísio Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Gerson Braga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Vila Luiza's zone, Gabriel Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerson Braga came out of the goal and Gabriel Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
