Felicidale's supporters rose to their feet, but David Damião was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Alberto Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amauri Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Caxe EC's Felippe Barros shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vladimir Massa but with some difficulty. Caxe EC's Carlos Alberto Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Andrade in the 15th minute of play. Patrick Albuquerque placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Lucas in the 38th minute of play forced Felicidale's goalkeeper Vladimir Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrézinho Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42ndth minute of the game Andrézinho Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Felicidale's Vladimir Massa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Tony Tavares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimir Massa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Damião to strike the kick off in the second half. Andrézinho Lucas might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimir Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrézinho Lucas ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Alberto Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Mumbach in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Mumbach got free with Carlos Alberto Soares in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Felicidale players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caxe EC.
