Adelino Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Tavares in the 30th minute of play. Cristóvão de Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cipriano Pitta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristóvão de Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão de Amorim in the 36th minute of play forced Ouricurituba SS's goalkeeper Cipriano Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tião Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itahum's protests and gave Tião Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ouricurituba SS booed when Itahum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Manfredo de Toledo in the 40th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Adelino Macedo's left hand side. Cristóvão de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Pitta having to interfere. If Tião Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When the referee ended the match the Itahum players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
