In the 12th minute, Cido de Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Campeira AD defense, Nestor Fernandes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gino das Neves. The Campeira AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gino das Neves should have stopped the shot. Gino das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido de Brito in the 18th minute of play. 23 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Campeira AD's Enrique Toscano fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Nestor Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Armando Mazza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Nestor Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino das Neves having to interfere.
