Olívio Pereira struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Arlindo Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aristides. When Magno Matos came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Liberdade EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magno Matos couldn't finish the play. If Sidney Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Bezerra in the 63rd minute of play forced Liberdade EC's goalkeeper Arlindo Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liberdade EC's Magno Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Magno Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guilherme Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fábio do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Guilherme Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Aristides's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Matos came free, but Guilherme Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guilherme Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Sidney Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Aristides were victorious despite being under pressure from Liberdade EC for much of the match.
