In the 44th match minute, Carnauba EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. But to his dismay, Cipriano de Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 70th minute, Erasmo Paranaense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carnauba EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 77 minutes into the match, Carnauba EC's goalkeeper Alan Terra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Catarinense. Juan Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Alan Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SPORT CLUBE INTERNACIONAL's Guto Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Paranaense in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Erasmo Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guto Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Messias in the 95th minute of play. Carnauba EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
