Doni Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caco Pires in the 57th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Delfim Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mosqueteiro Alvi Negro's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guto Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Doni Amaral made a huge save. A collision led to Franca getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Franca players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mosqueteiro Alvi Negro.
