Magnun's Bruninho Custódio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 11th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Abel Teles notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Magnun's Yuri Donatello. Yuri Donatello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute Lauro Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes, Bruninho Custódio made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Malhador EC's Mathias Carneiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 34 minutes, Lauro Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magnun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauro Botelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yuri Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Teles in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Claudinho Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro Botelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Carneiro having to make a save. In the 47th minute, Bruninho Custódio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magnun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinho Vale was the one to do the kick off. Mathias Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Custódio in the 53rd minute of the match. If Bruninho Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58thth minute of the game Bruninho Custódio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malhador EC's Mathias Carneiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mathias Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Botelho in the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruninho Custódio in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mathias Carneiro saved Malhador EC from getting behind. Bruninho Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Mathias Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruy do Vale hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the game, Ricardo Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Magnun's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malhador EC the free kick. The supporters of Malhador EC booed when Magnun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Malhador EC's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Botelho came free, but Mathias Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bruninho Custódio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mathias Carneiro was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Yuri Donatello made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Abel Teles sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Magnun:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Malhador EC:s goal. Gildo Toledo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Malhador EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Magnun.
