Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tamarindo's Durvalino Carvalho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ediberto Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Carvalho in the 3rd minute of play. The throw-in from Geovanni Pernambucano in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tamarindo's Raí da Costa. Hélio de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ediberto Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When André Luiz de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Ihum EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luiz de Andrade couldn't finish the play. André Luiz de Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Tamarindo's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz de Andrade came free, but Pedro Augusto Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes of play, Ihum EC's Donatello Santos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Augusto Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 30 in the game by Durvalino Carvalho from a close distance when the talented Ediberto Magalhães managed to make a qualified save. Ihum EC's players were relieved. With a little luck, Ihum EC's Ediberto Magalhães got control of the ball when Durvalino Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hélio de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durvalino Carvalho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Ediberto Magalhães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ediberto Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiaguinho Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Durvalino Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 played minutes Durvalino Carvalho rounded Ihum EC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Durvalino Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ediberto Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélio de Lara got free with Ediberto Magalhães in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Hélio de Lara made a precise shot to the right of Ediberto Magalhães. Ihum EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandinho Rocha to make the kick off. A collision led to Tamarindo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Rafael Marinho hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Adriano Oliveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Augusto Dias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ediberto Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durvalino Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Augusto Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caco Vianna in the 58th minute. With a little luck, Tamarindo's Pedro Augusto Dias got control of the ball when Donatello Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Ihum EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Queirós to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Hélio de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamarindo's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélio de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediberto Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Ernani Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute of the match Adriano Oliveira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Augusto Dias skillfully saved the ball. Caco Vianna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Pedro Augusto Dias made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Carvalho in the 89th minute of play forced Ihum EC's goalkeeper Ediberto Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélio de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ediberto Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Ihum EC's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Carvalho came free, but Ediberto Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Tamarindo got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Mendonça. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ihum EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tamarindo.
