Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastião Zonta in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Paraibano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danilo Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Luís Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piabas AD's Sebastião Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Sebastião Zonta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Panon AD getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Luisinho Nunes hit a great ball. If Danilo Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Piabas AD booed when Panon AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falcão Castro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Panon AD's Thomás Baptista in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piabas AD's goalie prevented a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sebastião Zonta made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastião Zonta in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Paraibano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Paraibano came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Piabas AD's Danilo Recife. But to his dismay, Danilo Recife quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 63rd match minute, Piabas AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Silva to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 64 minutes, Luís Fernando Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panon AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fernando Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 played minutes Panon AD got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando Silva. Cláudio Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Faustão Lima sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Panon AD's Luís Paraibano didn't even have to move. In the 76th minute Thomás Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benê de Queiroz's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 82nd match minute, Panon AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Meira to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the game, Ramón Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panon AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piabas AD the free kick. Ramón Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Piabas AD's Sebastião Zonta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Paraibano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Recife got free with Luís Paraibano in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Panon AD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Piabas AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
