REMÉDIOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Horizontina the free kick. In the 21st match minute, REMÉDIOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Abraão to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan Bastos in the 24th minute of play forced REMÉDIOS's goalkeeper Almir Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafinha Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Geovânio Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. In the 41st minute, Kauan Bastos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almir Severo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dudu Donatello made a kick off. Geovânio Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Almir Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gugu Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Eusébio Pombal sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Horizontina getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Charles da Mata hit a great ball. Eusébio Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Eusébio Pombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dudu Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Almir Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72ndth minute of the game Geovânio Bezerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but REMÉDIOS's Almir Severo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to REMÉDIOS getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jânio Abraão hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in REMÉDIOS's zone, Kauan Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almir Severo came out of the goal and Kauan Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Kauan Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horizontina's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauan Bastos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Almir Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute, Kauan Bastos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horizontina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 85 minutes, Gilson Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the REMÉDIOS and the Horizontina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes REMÉDIOS got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Neves. Kauan Bastos's late challenge caught a REMÉDIOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauan Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Kauan Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. REMÉDIOS's Eusébio Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 93 played minutes REMÉDIOS got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Abraão. The audience was convinced that Geovânio Bezerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Almir Severo was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Horizontina had won after a very even match.
