Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Laércio Donato took the kick off in the first half of the match. Noel Freire charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noel Freire the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Noel Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Alessandro Palmeira's late challenge caught a Siqueiro SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alessandro Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Piva's Alessandro Palmeira got a free kick in the 10th minute. Hermínio Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrinho de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Laércio Donato struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. César de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piva. Dênis Barbosa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of César de Azevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Fernandão Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 20 minutes, Róbson Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Siqueiro SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbson Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Róbson Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hermínio Matos came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Siqueiro SC's Róbson Alcântara. But to his dismay, Róbson Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Siqueiro SC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Wilson Pinheiro hit a great ball. The supporters of Piva booed when Siqueiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Roger Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piva's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Madureira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Piva's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Alcântara came free, but Hermínio Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Domingues in the 36th minute of play forced Piva's goalkeeper Hermínio Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Domingues took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermínio Matos. Hermínio Matos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half Siqueiro SC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Domingues to make the kick off. Hermínio Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Laércio Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. César de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dênis Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César de Azevedo having to interfere. Siqueiro SC's Róbson Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Dênis Barbosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of César de Azevedo. Siqueiro SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dênis Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 76 minutes in the game, Róbson Alcântara fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hermínio Matos having to interfere. Róbson Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Hermínio Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute of the match, Róbson Alcântara got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hermínio Matos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hermínio Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Pinheiro hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Siqueiro SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
