Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zé Prestes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cafu de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 5 minutes of play, Bagaco SS's Dida Mangueira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu de Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Betinho Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Cafu de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ramalho's Zé Prestes in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bagaco SS's goalie prevented a goal. Betinho Pereira took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cafu de Toledo. Cafu de Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Bagaco SS's Jano do Vale got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Dagoberto Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Mangueira in the 27th minute of play forced Ramalho's goalkeeper Cafu de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Bagaco SS booed when Ramalho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bagaco SS's zone, Tiago Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gugu Figueiredo came out of the goal and Tiago Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cafu de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betinho Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Dida Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Prestes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Gugu Figueiredo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cafu de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Pereira in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Ramalho getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Sérgio da Mata hit a great ball. In the 45th minute of the match Jano do Vale sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cafu de Toledo skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Bagaco SS getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Wanderson Vinhas hit a great ball. The Ramalho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bagaco SS were winning 0-2.

Sidnei Carioca hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Betinho Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bagaco SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dida Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cafu de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Prestes in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gugu Figueiredo saved Bagaco SS from getting behind. Sérgio da Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cafu de Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betinho Pereira in the 64th minute. Cafu de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ramalho's Cafu de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dida Mangueira in the 69th minute of play. Zé Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Figueiredo having to interfere. Dagoberto Machado struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gugu Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ramalho. In the 77th minute Dida Mangueira collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. In the 80th minute, Bagaco SS got a penalty, and Anselmo Silveira placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Dagoberto Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gugu Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tiago Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Machado in the 89th minute of play forced Bagaco SS's goalkeeper Gugu Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cafu Dias fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bagaco SS's protests and gave Cafu Dias a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bagaco SS getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Cafu Dias hit a great ball. Bagaco SS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Ramalho's much stronger midfield.
