In the 42ndth minute of the game Henrik Thue who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tiririca SC's Jonathan Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durval Barral was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Carioca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Tiririca SC's zone, Henrik Thue stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Carioca came out of the goal and Henrik Thue tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
