Vinícius Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Barros in the 28th minute of the match. Silvinho Pinho made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Sebastião Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. Silvinho Pinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastião Catarinense went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Arantes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Laerte Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Sebastião Catarinense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvinho Pinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Fausto Arantes struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Silvinho Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sousas AD. The audience was convinced that Sebastião Catarinense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvinho Pinho was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Sebastião Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. MackBio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
