Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 18th minute, Benê Tande left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Martinopole SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuca Arruda made a kick off. If Benê Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Martinopole SS booed when Mares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juarês Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benê Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiaguinho Barreto during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Arruda in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evandro Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Andrézinho Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Ribeiro was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Benê Tande capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benê Tande really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Martinopole SS's zone, Samuca Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evandro Vides came out of the goal and Samuca Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuca Arruda struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Evandro Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mares. Josué Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Martinopole SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
