Marcos Linhares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Pitta's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After 5 minutes, Eliseu Dracena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castle Fortress and the Tijolo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Castle Fortress getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Eliseu Dracena hit a great ball. After 8 played minutes Tijolo FC got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Meireles. Marcos Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Siqueira in the 13th minute of the match. Tijolo FC's Alex Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Pitta in the 18th minute of play forced Castle Fortress's goalkeeper Marcos Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Siqueira in the 22nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Pitta in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Linhares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osvaldo Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Pitta in the 26th minute of play forced Castle Fortress's goalkeeper Marcos Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Tijolo FC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Tijolo FC's Alex Pitta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gernando Arósio was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Chiquinho Aparecido capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chiquinho Aparecido really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Osvaldo Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 38 played minutes Castle Fortress got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Dias. Osvaldo Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Linhares having to interfere. After the first half Tijolo FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Zézinho Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zézinho Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Castle Fortress getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Zézinho Esteves hit a great ball. Alex Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Linhares having to interfere. A hard shot 63 in the game by Osvaldo Siqueira from a close distance when the talented Marcos Linhares managed to make a qualified save. Castle Fortress's players were relieved. Osvaldo Siqueira in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcos Linhares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 71st minute, Alex Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Valdo Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Linhares made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Osvaldo Siqueira sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Pitta in the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Alex Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tijolo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Linhares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tijolo FC's Osvaldo Siqueira got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Castle Fortress's Marcos Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Pitta in the 92nd minute of play. Tijolo FC played a much better game than Castle Fortress and deserved their victory. The Castle Fortress players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
