Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dorival da Fonseca started the match with the kick off. If Isaltino Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Teles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelo Cosme. PORTO SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Geovani Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival da Fonseca in the 14th minute of play forced PORTO SC's goalkeeper Marcelo Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Hélder Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Cosme came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaguariaiva's Dorival da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Dorival da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 23rdth minute of the game Dorival da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PORTO SC's Marcelo Cosme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. PORTO SC's Marcelo Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Vidal in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, PORTO SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind PORTO SC's goalkeeper Marcelo Cosme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Gilberto da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. PORTO SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th match minute, Jaguariaiva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldão Vidal scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Cosme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronaldão Vidal struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Marcelo Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaguariaiva. Dorival da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Marcelo Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Veiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelo Cosme. PORTO SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Gilberto da Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Ronaldão Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in PORTO SC's zone, Dorival da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Cosme came out of the goal and Dorival da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Dorival da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaguariaiva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorival da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronaldão Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Marcelo Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Dorival da Fonseca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Cosme, 0-4. Ronaldão Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorival da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Marcelo Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beto do Valle hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Ronaldão Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Jaguariaiva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldão Vidal couldn't finish the play. Umberto do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldão Vidal might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Cosme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldão Vidal ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Jaguariaiva's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
