The audience was convinced that Claudinho Novaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doni Munhoz was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. But to his dismay, José Maria Alves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinho Novaes made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Durvalino Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Maria Alves struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. João Adolfo Bueno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sariema. After 68 played minutes Valdemar Oliveira rounded Time das estrelas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jeremias Magalhães the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Time das estrelas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jeremias Magalhães had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 75th minute, Samuel Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Adolfo Bueno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. José Maria Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. João Adolfo Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Time das estrelas's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Oliveira came free, but João Adolfo Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Valdemar Oliveira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Maria Alves got free with João Adolfo Bueno in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sariema's José Maria Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
