Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Magno Rossi made the kick off which started today's match. Nilson Pires's late challenge caught a Girau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilson Pires helped the player get up and apologised. Edu Pitta was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Girau's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Flash Tibbers's zone, Charles Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Schmidt came out of the goal and Charles Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charles Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, C.A. Flash Tibbers's Felipe Schmidt got control of the ball when Edu Pitta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luisinho Baiano charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisinho Baiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felipe Schmidt came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Girau's Edu Pitta. But to his dismay, Edu Pitta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles Tepedino made a kick off. Edu Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Felipe Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes of play C.A. Flash Tibbers's Luisinho Baiano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Luisinho Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Flash Tibbers's goalkeeper Felipe Schmidt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Girau's Samuca Cordeiro got control of the ball when Pedro Luiz Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. C.A. Flash Tibbers's Felipe Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Pitta in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Régis Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Magalhães, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Felipe Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes C.A. Flash Tibbers got a freekick which was hit by Magno Rossi. After 79 minutes, Cléber Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Flash Tibbers and the Girau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, Cléber Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Charles Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edu Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Felipe Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Charles Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Girau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Tepedino couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Girau were the better team. Girau's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
