Zeca Rosado kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 19thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Murucupi's keeper Dênis Cearense was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Zeca Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Cearense having to interfere. Eugênio Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Carneiro having to make a save. If Jânio Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Gaspar's late challenge caught a Murucupi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
