Eugênio Ribeiro took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lenílson Damião. Lenílson Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Murucupi's Dênis Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Koehler in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Eugênio Ribeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lenílson Damião. Bayern Munchen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugênio Ribeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Lenílson Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Ribeiro in the 37th minute of play. Eugênio Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lenílson Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Humberto Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bayern Munchen booed when Murucupi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball.
