Kaká Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. A collision led to Ilhota getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Arí Bezerra hit a great ball. Erasmo Aguiar's late challenge caught a Mirinsal AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. Erasmo Aguiar hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Arí Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mirinsal AD's Kaká Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Aguiar in the 19th minute of play. Patrick Freitas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Correia went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Ilhota's Cléber Camargo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kaká Antunes. That made the score 1-1 after 25 minutes of play. Kaká Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Aguiar in the 35th minute of the match. Patrick Freitas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Barral's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Erasmo Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasmo Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kaká Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After taking down the ball on Mirinsal AD's corner Waldemar Romero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patrick Freitas quite easily take care of the ball. Mário Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Antunes having to interfere.
