Patrick Paraíba really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 25th minute, Marcel Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmílson de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Eusebio Kepa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmílson de Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 39thth minute of the game Eusebio Kepa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but O Líder das Excursões's Edmílson de Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edmílson de Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Marquez in the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 72 played minutes O Líder das Excursões got a freekick which was hit by Vágner Santos. The audience was convinced that Eusebio Kepa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmílson de Lima was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. São Miguel Football Club's Alfredo Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Paraíba in the 75th minute of play. With a left leg Edmílson de Lima saved O Líder das Excursões from getting behind. Edmílson de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Kepa, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. O Líder das Excursões's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
