In the 9th minute Telmo da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Telmo da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaraguá Atlético Clube's Victor de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo da Costa in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Arlindo Paraíba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jaraguá Atlético Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mateiro SS the free kick. Arlindo Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Victor de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo dos Santos in the 17th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cleiton Botelho during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jaraguá Atlético Clube's Cleiton Botelho got a free kick in the 18th minute. Valdo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor de Mendonça having to interfere. Telmo da Costa hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Mathias Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Edu Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo da Costa in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor de Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edu Fernandes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luizinho Esteves in the 33rd minute. Luizinho Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdo dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Victor de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luizinho Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Fernandes having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Telmo da Costa made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Esteves in the 55th minute of play forced Mateiro SS's goalkeeper Edu Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor de Mendonça having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Mateiro SS's Telmo da Costa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Victor de Mendonça. That made the score 0-1 after 59 minutes of play. Mathias Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Fernandes having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Victor de Mendonça successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Victor de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo da Costa in the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mateiro SS's zone, Luizinho Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edu Fernandes came out of the goal and Luizinho Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 minutes, Washington Valadares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mateiro SS and the Jaraguá Atlético Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antônio Carlos Rosa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edu Fernandes. Mateiro SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Jaraguá Atlético Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo dos Santos came free, but Victor de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Leal hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Antônio Carlos Rosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edu Fernandes skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jaraguá Atlético Clube's zone, Telmo da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor de Mendonça came out of the goal and Telmo da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdo dos Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Victor de Mendonça came out and tried to block the shot, but Valdo dos Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 89th minute. Valdo dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
