With a left leg Ismael Fontes saved Sabia EC from getting behind. The supporters of Unhao booed when Sabia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Eduardo Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Carioca having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Sabia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Coutinho came free, but Ismael Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Edgard Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unhao played a much better game than Sabia EC and deserved their victory. The Sabia EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
