Cosme Viviano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Douglas Correia went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of RB Bragantino booed when Candoy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee gave RB Bragantino a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Durvalino Schmidt, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Candoy's Cosme Viviano. 0-2. A collision led to RB Bragantino getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Renan de Medeiros hit a great ball. A hard shot 19 in the game by Anísio Munhoz from a close distance when the talented Bruno Lago managed to make a qualified save. RB Bragantino's players were relieved. Felippe Negri struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Bruno Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candoy. Felippe Negri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gláuber Sena's late challenge caught a Candoy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber Sena helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes RB Bragantino got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Sena. 1-2 became the score in the 25th minute when Anísio Munhoz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Candoy's Anísio Munhoz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Basílio Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Júlio Novaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosme Viviano was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 42nd match minute, Candoy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Eduardo Antunes to maneuver through the defense. When Renan de Medeiros fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RB Bragantino's protests and gave Renan de Medeiros a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Candoy got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Abraão. Bruno Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Laerte Pombal fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candoy's protests and gave Laerte Pombal a yellow card for diving instead. Cosme Viviano made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Douglas Correia sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas Correia got free with Cosme Viviano in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
