The crowd rose to their feet as Moitas's Vitinho Araújo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Orlando Matos. That made the score 2-0 after 38 minutes of play. If André Luiz Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
