Alan Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vukoje Bogičević in the 9th minute of the match. Alan Cardoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vukoje Bogičević's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferroviária's goalkeeper Alan Cardoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bebeto Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Alan Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ferroviária fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Jardel de Brito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson da Silva. PiuPiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jardel de Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. A collision led to Ferroviária getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Cléberson Correia hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Sidney Moraes notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of PiuPiu's Nelson da Silva. Nelson da Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 38 played minutes Ferroviária got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Moraes. When PiuPiu's Vukoje Bogičević in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ferroviária's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vukoje Bogičević made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Jardel de Brito could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Nelson da Silva however easily saved by the left post. In the 64th minute Severino do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PiuPiu's Nelson da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino do Vale in the 68th minute of play. Fernandinho Maia hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Vukoje Bogičević's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alan Cardoso was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Luís Paulo Oliveira's late challenge caught a PiuPiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PiuPiu reached it. The Ferroviária supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ferroviária would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
