Covas SC's Zé Augusto Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Travassos in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Gabriel Hames notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Covas SC's Zé Augusto Couto. Zé Augusto Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zé Augusto Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duda Moraes in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Gabriel Hames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Luiz Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Aguiar having to interfere. Covas SC's Vladimir Batista shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jairo Aguiar but with some difficulty. Delfim de Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Duda Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Zé Augusto Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 minutes of play, Prazeiro FC's Victor Travassos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Augusto Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the match, Covas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Hames came free, but Zé Augusto Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Covas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Lopes to maneuver through the defense.

Vicente Vergílio hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Victor Travassos in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Victor Travassos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zé Augusto Couto firmly grabbed it by the left post.
