Tibúrcio Gaúcho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leandro Saraiva. Lajeiro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. William Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Prazeiro FC's Duda Moraes in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lajeiro's goalie prevented a goal. Leandro Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duda Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Saraiva having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duda Moraes in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leandro Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Victor Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Messias in the 31st minute of play forced Prazeiro FC's goalkeeper Jairo Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lajeiro's Leandro Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duda Moraes in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Lajeiro booed when Prazeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Hames didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Messias in the 42nd minute of play forced Prazeiro FC's goalkeeper Jairo Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Aguiar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilson Messias went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duda Moraes to strike the kick off in the second half. Duda Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Saraiva having to interfere. Duda Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilson Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lajeiro's zone, Victor Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Saraiva came out of the goal and Victor Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jairo Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Messias in the 78th minute of play. Duda Moraes took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Saraiva. Leandro Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Duda Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Travassos might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Saraiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Travassos ran back to his position shaking his head. Prazeiro FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
