Arnaldo Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Covas SC's Zé Augusto Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Trevisan in the 23rd minute of play. If Mané Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Rodrigues in the 26th minute of play forced Covas SC's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Juan Sanches made a precise shot to the right of Zé Augusto Couto. Covas SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Cumati SS's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Sarmento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luiz Vander. Delfim de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Luís Fernando Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Covas SC. A collision led to Covas SC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Vladimir Batista hit a great ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Luiz Vander to make the kick off. Henrique Rodrigues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Couto made a huge save. In the 53rd minute Perivaldo Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 55 minutes on the clock, Vladimir Batista commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Arnaldo Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Luís Fernando Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Covas SC's Zé Augusto Couto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Covas SC from getting a goal against them. After 72 played minutes Covas SC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Lopes. When Luan Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cumati SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luan Lopez couldn't finish the play. Covas SC's Zé Augusto Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Mello in the 94th minute of play. Zé Augusto Couto was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Juan Sanches capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juan Sanches really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5.
