Chiquinho Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Genílson Macedo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Glauco Paulista 97 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Bica lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
