The audience thought a goal was coming when Ademir Tepedino got free with Gláuber Garcia in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavinho Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in girl's zone, Silvério Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gláuber Garcia came out of the goal and Silvério Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MVR F.C's Flavinho Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Queirós in the 22nd minute of play. Virgílio Tepedino in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gláuber Garcia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gláuber Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jerônimo de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Trigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavinho Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Luís Trigo ran back to his position shaking his head. girl's Gláuber Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Tepedino in the 40th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, girl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís Trigo to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgílio Tepedino was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes girl got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Mazza. The excitement rose when MVR F.C's Frédson Ribeiro after 53 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for girl's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-0. A collision led to girl getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Dráuzio Queirós hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, girl's goal looked a bit too open when Ademir Tepedino came free, but Gláuber Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gláuber Garcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Tepedino's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Gláuber Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MVR F.C's Flavinho Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save MVR F.C from getting a goal against them. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind MVR F.C's goalkeeper Flavinho Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There was no doubt that MVR F.C were the better team. MVR F.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
