Kléberson Pitta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrício Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Kléberson Pitta scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabrício Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dolcinopolis's Fabrício Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Pitta in the 14th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Dolcinopolis got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Cosme. With 21 minutes on the clock, Kaká Gonçalves commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Jabá F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! The supporters of Real Jabá F.C booed when Dolcinopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Frank Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Real Jabá F.C's goalkeeper Cássio Petr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Rocha. Cássio Petr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho Zonta in the 36th minute of play. Frank Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Rocha got free with Cássio Petr in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kléberson Pitta struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Fabrício Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Jabá F.C. After 45 minutes, Geovani Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dolcinopolis and the Real Jabá F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Geovani Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléberson Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Barros having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Kléberson Pitta made the kick off in the second half. Edinho Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Real Jabá F.C's Kléberson Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Thiago Mello fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Jabá F.C's protests and gave Thiago Mello a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Dolcinopolis got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Cosme. After having played for 76 minutes, Kléberson Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Jabá F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléberson Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Edinho Zonta notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Real Jabá F.C's Cássio Petr. Cássio Petr was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st match minute, Real Jabá F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Gomes to maneuver through the defense. When Frank Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Dolcinopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Rocha couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Thiago Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Real Jabá F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Rocha came free, but Cássio Petr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabrício Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson Pitta in the 91st minute of the match. After 92 played minutes Dolcinopolis got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Moura. In the 94th match minute, Dolcinopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, Dolcinopolis could leave the field as winners, despite Real Jabá F.C having more of the ball for most of the match.
