Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Santolas F.C.'s Serafim Berger started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Serafim Berger's late challenge caught a Piauna SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serafim Berger helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Santolas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Berger. In the 10th minute, Roberto Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Santolas F.C. booed when Piauna SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pelayo Esperta lost his temper 16 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 16th minute, one of Piauna SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Piauna SC. The referee gave Santolas F.C. a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Maurinho Valadares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Piauna SC's Paulinho Soeiro. 1-0. Piauna SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Tiaguinho da Cunha scored to the left of an out of position Paulinho Soeiro, making the score, 2-0. Paulinho Soeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Carlos dos Santos in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute José Carlos dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulinho Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulinho Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gernando Brasil took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lenílson Ferraz. Lenílson Ferraz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho da Cunha in the 36th minute of play forced Piauna SC's goalkeeper Paulinho Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Gernando Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, José Carlos dos Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulinho Soeiro, 3-1. Paulinho Soeiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tiaguinho da Cunha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 44 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gernando Brasil to strike the kick off in the second half. Tiaguinho da Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 52 minutes, Tiaguinho da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santolas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiaguinho da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Piauna SC's goal looked a bit too open when Arí Schmidt came free, but Paulinho Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulinho Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiaguinho da Cunha took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulinho Soeiro. Paulinho Soeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. When Maurinho Valadares came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Santolas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho Valadares couldn't finish the play. If Tiaguinho da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Tiaguinho da Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santolas F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. When Roberto Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piauna SC's protests and gave Roberto Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Piauna SC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Meirelles. Santolas F.C.'s Eidur Fritzsche got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulinho Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho da Cunha in the 73rd minute of the match. Lenílson Ferraz was a little too slow when Gernando Brasil got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 6-2. After 79 played minutes Piauna SC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Mota. Paulinho Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho da Cunha in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Piauna SC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Berger came free, but Paulinho Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santolas F.C.'s José Carlos dos Santos got a free kick in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Gernando Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piauna SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lenílson Ferraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulinho Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Berger in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Berger in the 94th minute of play forced Piauna SC's goalkeeper Paulinho Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
