Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Afonso Trancoso got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute, Luisinho de Lara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Geo Mito's Vitinho Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Trancoso in the 10th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Destino SC got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Barros. A hard shot by Giovani Tinoco from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Teodoro Sousa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Teodoro Sousa was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Luisinho de Lara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luisinho de Lara really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Evaristo Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Marcelo da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho de Lara in the 26th minute of play forced Destino SC's goalkeeper Teodoro Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Giuseppe Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastião Tasso might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitinho Arantes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastião Tasso ran back to his position shaking his head. Destino SC's Teodoro Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Destino SC from getting a goal against them. Destino SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luisinho de Lara 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Destino SC's zone, Alessandro Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Sousa came out of the goal and Alessandro Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Teodoro Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho de Lara in the 53rd minute of play forced Destino SC's goalkeeper Teodoro Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Destino SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Giovani Tinoco was slow to take the kick. During this time Geo Mito's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Giovani Tinoco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teodoro Sousa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luisinho de Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisinho de Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. Teodoro Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Britto in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Alessandro Britto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geo Mito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Sebastião Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Destino SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitinho Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 played minutes, Geo Mito's Dalmo Gaspar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodoro Sousa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Geo Mito reached it. Luisinho de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Teodoro Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo da Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo da Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Destino SC's Marcelo da Cunha got a free kick in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Destino SC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho de Lara came free, but Teodoro Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Destino SC's Marquinhos Borges got a free kick in the 78th minute. When Ezequiel Prado came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Geo Mito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Prado couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Luisinho de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, one of Destino SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Luisinho de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilmar Teixeira hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Geo Mito were the better team. Geo Mito's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
