Spectators: 7096 (Terracing: 5431, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fernandinho Dracena started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Waldemar Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7th play minutes Waldemar Ferraz shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Horácio Monteiro and just under the crossbar into goal. 10 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Dracena dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of João Augusto Tepedino, 1-1. João Augusto Tepedino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Dracena in the 13th minute of the match. Gugu Abreu came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and João Augusto Tepedino could save by the left post. After 19 minutes, Norberto Siqueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inimutaba and the Ecomp players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecomp booed when Inimutaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horácio Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Ferraz's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Silvinho Prado notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Inimutaba's Horácio Monteiro. Horácio Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Vargas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Augusto Tepedino. Marquinhos Vargas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. 32 minutes into the match, Ecomp's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Vargas came free, but João Augusto Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvinho Prado might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horácio Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvinho Prado ran back to his position shaking his head. When Waldemar Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecomp's protests and gave Waldemar Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Waldemar Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If João Pedro Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horácio Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Ferraz's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Silvinho Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute Norberto Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldemar Ferraz made a kick off. If Leopoldo Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Silvinho Prado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Horácio Monteiro, 2-4. 62 minutes into the match, Cléber Aguiar notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Inimutaba's Horácio Monteiro. Horácio Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Horácio Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Ferraz's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Ecomp's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Abreu came free, but João Augusto Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Armindo Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecomp's supporters rose to their feet, but Armindo Brodel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horácio Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldemar Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Monteiro having to interfere. Inimutaba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Waldemar Ferraz scored to the left of an out of position Horácio Monteiro, making the score, 2-6. 81 minutes into the game, Ecomp's Waldemar Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horácio Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. With his leg Horácio Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Ecomp's Waldemar Ferraz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Waldemar Ferraz struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Horácio Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecomp. 93 minutes into the match, Ecomp's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Abreu came free, but João Augusto Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Delfim Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecomp's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inimutaba the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ecomp's Delfim Souza got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ecomp's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
