The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Reis FC booed when Acampamonte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademir Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reis FC's Délio Coutinho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 6th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Murilo Marquez but with some difficulty. Zeca Silva was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Zeca Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeca Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murilo Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Zeca Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Acampamonte FC's Toninho Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murilo Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Koehler in the 26th minute. Edvaldo Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés Galvão during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Reis FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Moisés Galvão hit a great ball. Edvaldo Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Coutinho having to interfere. When Acampamonte FC's Edvaldo Cavalcante in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Silva in the 43rd minute of play forced Acampamonte FC's goalkeeper Murilo Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reis FC's José Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Cerezo in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Acampamonte FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeca Silva was the one to do the kick off. José Coutinho made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Edvaldo Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. Murilo Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Vieira in the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edvaldo Cavalcante in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Coutinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, Acampamonte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Silva came free, but Murilo Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edvaldo Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edvaldo Cavalcante had several of the Reis FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed José Coutinho as he didn't even see the shot coming. Murilo Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeca Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edvaldo Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toninho Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toninho Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. José Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvaldo Cavalcante's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Edvaldo Cavalcante in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of José Coutinho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg José Coutinho managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Acampamonte FC's Edvaldo Cavalcante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Acampamonte FC played a much better game than Reis FC and deserved their victory. The Reis FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
