The supporters of Torpedo Caldas Novas booed when Floripa F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Erik Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Adriano Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torpedo Caldas Novas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Floripa F.C the free kick. A collision led to Torpedo Caldas Novas getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Adriano Santana hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Fabiano Lago dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erik Lucas, 1-0. When Floripa F.C's Gilberto Diniz in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Erik Lucas as he didn't even see the shot coming. Fabiano Lago in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erik Lucas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ricardo Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabiano Lago to strike the kick off in the second half. Erik Lucas didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Torpedo Caldas Novas's Fabiano Lago shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Erik Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Lago's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Erik Lucas came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Torpedo Caldas Novas's Ricardo Abreu. But to his dismay, Ricardo Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Fabiano Lago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Alagoano in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match André Luís Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Lucas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arnaldo Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute, Floripa F.C's Sérgio Jacinto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. When Sérgio Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Floripa F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Jacinto couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Arnaldo Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torpedo Caldas Novas's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute of the match Ricardo Abreu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Lucas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
