Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Camoroa's Armando Brodel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Francisco Neiva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bernardinho Pinho. The goal made the score 1-0. Armando Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bernardinho Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Roger Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Camoroa's Leopoldo Vieira got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Celsinho Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Heliopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho Velasco couldn't finish the play. After 25 played minutes Camoroa got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Vinhas. Roger Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Urbano having to interfere. When Baltazar Vinhas fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camoroa's protests and gave Baltazar Vinhas a yellow card for diving instead. Baltazar Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of Camoroa booed when Heliopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Gugu Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heliopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Camoroa the free kick. After a rather tough play, Heliopolis's Gugu Sena got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 45 minutes, Laerte Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camoroa and the Heliopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nestor Andrade took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ademir Urbano. Ademir Urbano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute, Armando Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Heliopolis getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gugu Sena hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Camoroa's Francisco Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardinho Pinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernardinho Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ademir Urbano made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Celsinho Velasco sent off a good shot on target. Roger Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Camoroa's Baltazar Vinhas got a free kick in the 77th minute. Celsinho Velasco hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Armando Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Neiva scored 2-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardinho Pinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Heliopolis players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Camoroa.
