Spectators: 6670 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nico Montenegro kicked off to start the match. If Nico Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Costa's zone, Flavinho Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Ramos came out of the goal and Flavinho Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Augusto Rosa came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa's Emílio Pombal. But to his dismay, Emílio Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Freire in the 16th minute of play forced Fragosos SS's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emílio Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Rosa having to interfere. When Fragosos SS's Flavinho Pitta in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa's goalie prevented a goal. If Nico Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luisinho Freire came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Costa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisinho Freire couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Freire in the 27th minute of play forced Fragosos SS's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Augusto Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Freire in the 30th minute of the match. Emílio Pombal's late challenge caught a Fragosos SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emílio Pombal helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Costa got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Pombal. Oscar Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisinho Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Fragosos SS's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Freire came free, but Pedro Augusto Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Fragosos SS's Oscar Ramos threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nico Montenegro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luisinho Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Carlos de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Fragosos SS getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Claudinei Lopez hit a great ball. Pedro Augusto Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Freire in the 77th minute of play. Luisinho Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Rosa having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
