In the 18th minute Alfredo Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C. A. Bahiano were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Itaroquem's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudinho Lima took the corner. The corner led C. A. Bahiano's Claudinho Lima to fire away a dangerous shot which Sandrinho de Godoi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When C. A. Sandrinho de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Augusto Almeida struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Sandrinho de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Bahiano. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Augusto Almeida in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandrinho de Godoi saved Itaroquem from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Itaroquem's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Baiano came free, but Sandrinho de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Baiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandrinho de Godoi was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Baiano in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandrinho de Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46thth minute of the game Alfredo Baiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaroquem's Sandrinho de Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Pedro Augusto Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Bahiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Augusto Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Léo Terra to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Itaroquem's zone, Pedro Augusto Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandrinho de Godoi came out of the goal and Pedro Augusto Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 56 minutes, Leandro Velasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaroquem and the C. A. Bahiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leandro Velasco hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Baiano in the 59th minute of play forced Itaroquem's goalkeeper Sandrinho de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Léo Terra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sandro Pernambucano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Itaroquem's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alfredo Baiano 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Alfredo Baiano put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Sandrinho de Godoi. When C. A. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandrinho de Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sandrinho de Godoi came out of the goal and Glauco Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Glauco Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Itaroquem fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C. A. Bahiano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
