A collision led to Xixas getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Vítor Matos hit a great ball. Narciso Branco came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Xixas's Gilmar Bittencourt. But to his dismay, Gilmar Bittencourt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Xixas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Rodolfo Teles had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Zigor Saboya's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Angels's Zigor Saboya made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ezequiel de Toledo hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Gilmar Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Narciso Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Elano Linares took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Rodolfo Teles to make any attempt to save it. In the 44th minute Alberto Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 石傲兴 to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Gilmar Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xixas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilmar Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Narciso Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xixas. Narciso Branco was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gilmar Bittencourt. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vítor Matos in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso Branco saved Angels from getting behind. After 70 played minutes Angels got a freekick which was hit by 石傲兴. Gilmar Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Xixas booed when Angels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Gilmar Bittencourt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gilmar Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Branco made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Gilmar Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Xixas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
