The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Soeiro got free with Zézinho Godoi in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claudinei de Moraes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fernando Marques having to make a save. When Kauã Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Arrinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kauã Pirani couldn't finish the play. Zézinho Godoi made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Alex Lopes sent off a good shot on target. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abelardo Berger was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Eduardo Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Pascoal AD's Zézinho Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Soeiro in the 87th minute of play. Zézinho Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Loureiro in the 92nd minute of the match.
