WXStars Angels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 minutes of play, WXStars Angels's Marquinhos de Queirós made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilmar Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wiliam Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Pedro Bertassi in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute, Arthur Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. WXStars Angels's Wiliam Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save WXStars Angels from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Guatacaba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos de Queirós came free, but Nilmar Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Cleiton Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Cleiton Moura put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Nilmar Moreira. Guatacaba EC's Nilmar Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Pereira in the 40th minute of play. The WXStars Angels fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Angelo Pereira's late challenge caught a Guatacaba EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, WXStars Angels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldinho Toscano's shot from long distance in the 46th minute was not bad at all, but WXStars Angels's Wiliam Massa knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Nilmar Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Arthur Arce made the kick off in the second half. If Marquinhos de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelo Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Angelo Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WXStars Angels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to WXStars Angels getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jaime Andrade hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, WXStars Angels's Roberto Ferreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nilmar Moreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 68th minute, Arthur Arce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wiliam Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. After having played for 74 minutes, Caco Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WXStars Angels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guatacaba EC's goalkeeper Nilmar Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cleiton Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Nilmar Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Guatacaba EC's Nilmar Moreira got control of the ball when Cleiton Moura tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of WXStars Angels booed when Guatacaba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cleiton Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Guatacaba EC's Ronaldo Berger got a free kick in the 87th minute. Nilmar Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleiton Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Guatacaba EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Caco Alagoano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Angelo Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. WXStars Angels's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilmar Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. WXStars Angels played a much better game than Guatacaba EC and deserved their victory. The Guatacaba EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
