Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Yuri da Costa got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Engenho SC defense, Raúl Falcão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilian Garcia. The Engenho SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilian Garcia should have stopped the shot. Pedrinho Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri da Costa in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Serinhaem's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri da Costa came free, but Pedrinho Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Charles Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serinhaem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Engenho SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Engenho SC's Elano Varela got a free kick in the 13th minute. The supporters of Serinhaem booed when Engenho SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evandro Botelho to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Engenho SC's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Botelho came free, but Wilian Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Engenho SC's Pedrinho Marquez threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elano Varela, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Reinaldo Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Yuri da Costa's shot from long distance in the 68th minute was not bad at all, but Serinhaem's Pedrinho Marquez knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Pedrinho Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Varela in the 70th minute of the match. Wilian Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Botelho in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Engenho SC's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Falcão came free, but Wilian Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th match minute, Engenho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Almir Saldanha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilian Garcia. Engenho SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wilian Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Serinhaem's Ezequiel Sena got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 84 played minutes Serinhaem got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Sena. In the 85th match minute, Serinhaem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Sena to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Falcão in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilian Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedrinho Marquez made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Yuri da Costa sent off a good shot on target. When Serinhaem's Evandro Botelho in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Engenho SC's goalie prevented a goal. Serinhaem's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
