Gilvan Quadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Lago's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Lago in the 30th minute of play forced Almadina SS's goalkeeper Gilvan Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Almadina SS's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Lago came free, but Gilvan Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Almadina SS getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Leandro Veloso hit a great ball. The Kakaroto FC fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Kakaroto FC's Juvenal Lago looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The supporters of Almadina SS booed when Kakaroto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almir de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernani de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juvenal Lago to make the kick off. Daniel Dordea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Cosme having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Duarte Melo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio Cosme was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Luiz Fernando Ortiz took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Gilvan Quadros to make any attempt to save it. In the 79th minute Daniel Dordea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
